law school (my life for the next 3 years)

well, so far things are going pretty well.  i'm tired and not unpacked, but Ethel (my land lady) and the horses are wonderful (can't wait to ride... hope i actually have some time for it).  law school will doubtless be stressful and i'll be busy (judging from what i've learned at the first day of orientation) but i think i will enjoy it.  that is, i am enjoying it so far, despite the fact that i spent half an hour briefing a court case on a stolen chocolate chip cookie recipe... makes me feel that i can change the world.  one cookie recipe at a time.  :0)

otherwise i am missing everyone a lot.  it's been harder moving out here than i thought it would be.  don't get me wrong, it's exciting and all, but hard to be so far away.  waaaaahhhh!!!  i'm lonely.

but on a brighter and less whiney note, i have to go to a barbeque now (yes, we're great and they're giving us food!  just because we're poor ickle 1L's and need nourishment.  so, on i go.  bye.
